BrandStar Entertainment team offers discussions about diabetes and healthy children’s eating in 2013 lineup on The Balancing Act.
POMPANO BEACH, Florida – March 7, 2013 – BrandStar Entertainment®, producer of the hit Lifetime show The Balancing Act®, is providing a lineup of programming to help viewers get healthy in 2013. With shows that run the gamut from diabetes to heart attack prevention, BrandStar Entertainment brings together information and entertainment that informs the show’s morning audiences.
BrandStar Entertainment kicked off 2013 with a show on diabetes, featuring former Growing Pains star Alan Thicke. Thicke, whose oldest son suffers from the disease, knows firsthand the symptoms that alert a person to the presence of diabetes. He appeared on the BrandStar Entertainment show to discuss those symptoms, as well as how diet can help minimize symptoms.
BrandStar Entertainment also invited the American Diabetes Association’s Robert Friskney to join Thicke on set. Friskney is CEO of the organization and has expert insight into the importance of testing and proper healthcare to detect and manage diabetes. According to a spokesperson from BrandStar Entertainment, Friskney and Thicke were joined on the phone by Thicke’s son, who described his experience of getting diagnosed with diabetes at the age of four. Thicke’s son explained to BrandStar Entertainment viewers how coping with the disease has impacted his life.
As BrandStar Entertainment reports, the American Diabetes Association provides state-of-the-art technology to help battle diabetes symptoms. BrandStar Entertainment says that the association offers extensive online community support that has helped many diabetes sufferers find comfort and advice.
Another featured segment on The Balancing Act, says BrandStar Entertainment, was one featuring the best breakfast foods for young children. With so many kids battling gluten allergies, BrandStar Entertainment notes many moms are looking for gluten-free solutions. The Balancing Act hosts Danielle and Kristy discussed a wide variety of breakfast options for busy families that addressed gluten issues, describing products from Bloomfield Farms.
BrandStar Entertainment also welcomed Grand Prairie Foods’ Valerie Loudenback to its show. Loudenback discussed healthy breakfast options for both adults and children, says BrandStar Entertainment. According to BrandStar Entertainment, Grand Prairie Foods offers ready-to-heat breakfast foods that are low in cholesterol and made from healthy grains and lean meats. BrandStar Entertainment offered its morning show as a showcase for recipes and meal advice that can help viewers learn the best way to start each morning.
BrandStar Entertainment® provides services to numerous television productions. The Balancing Act®, produced by Brandstar Entertainment, is one of the only shows on television today to feature content produced by women, for women, and watched by women.
