Sandra Dyche Kim Honored at the First Annual Asian Women in Business Conference

Experienced entrepreneur and business owner lauded for her contribution in the field of immigration investment.

NEW YORK CITY – December 11, 2013 – As a member of Asian Women in Business (AWIB), noted entrepreneur Sandra Dyche Kim was recognized at the organization’s first Leadership Dinner for her support of the membership.

Sandra Dyche Kim leads operations for CapSpan, a fledgling organization that works to improve the EB-5 immigration program. An influential business expert, Sandra Dyche Kim helps to strengthen the community by demonstrating exemplary leadership in all activities.

In the experience of Sandra Dyche Kim, the AWIB Annual Leadership Dinner has always been an inspiring and unique event that draws attention to the ever-increasing community and economic influence of Asian women in business. Founded in 1995, AWIB is a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization whose primary goal is helping Asian women who are business executives and entrepreneurs.

AWIB has assisted more than 35,000 women through its innovative roster of events, says Sandra Dyche Kim. In 2011, nearly 2,500 women participated in AWIB’s various programs and services.

According to Sandra Dyche Kim, nominations are first reviewed by members of the nominations committee, whose decisions are announced each September. Award winners are required to participate in the AWIB Annual Leadership Dinner held in October.

The Asian Women in Business Conference is just one of the opportunities to acknowledge impressive achievement in business, says Sandra Dyche Kim. For Asian female students, the organization offers a yearly scholarship designed to motivate the next generation of business leaders. Sandra Dyche Kim clarifies that these exceptional young people are lauded for their leadership, entrepreneurship, scholarship and community service.

AWIB’s workshops, networking events and training events serve more than 1,000 participants annually, says Sandra Dyche Kim. These include popular showcases – Starting Your Business 101 and Success Stories, for example – that provide attendees with a platform where they can share their distinct visions for the future.

Meanwhile, AWIB’s Corporate Initiative has educated more than 1,400 participants since 2005, specifically through the annual leadership conference, Born to Lead. Born to Lead features experienced Asian female executives addressing a variety of issues relevant to corporate Asian women, explains Sandra Dyche Kim.
