Despite current economy, business owner Rich Von believes the American spirit of entrepreneurship is still strong.

SACRAMENTO, California – December 29, 2012 – Rich Von has studied the Sacramento area extensively in recent years. As co-founder of Von Vesting, Inc., Rich Von has seen that although some businesses have suffered in the recent economy, the spirit of entrepreneurship is as strong as ever.

Several factors have challenged small business owners in recent years, Rich Von has found. One of those is the impact of taxes on many entrepreneurs. Taxes in California were listed as the third highest in the entire country in sixteen different tax areas, according to the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council. The proposed changes due to the fiscal cliff have given business owners throughout the country additional concerns, Rich Von adds, but despite all of this, area small business owners remain optimistic.

Although Democrats now hold a super-majority in California, Rich Von has found that blue-blooded entrepreneurs remain resolute. Each day in America, a new small business owner realizes that dream of making the first dollar in his or her own business. Because of this, Rich Von believes it’s important to support the small business owner, since small businesses are the backbone of today’s economy.

In recent years, businesses have left California for lower taxes in surrounding states, including Nevada, which tends to be very pro-business. But California has always been the land of opportunity, points out Rich Von.

As a business owner himself, Rich Von firmly believes in the importance of earning a living through hard work and determination. Rich Von finds that chasing tax breaks around the country requires an expenditure of effort—and that effort could be put into increasing business and improving operations.

A longtime California resident, Rich Von enjoys having the ability to positively impact the state’s economy. Rich Von’s company, Von Vesting, Inc., purchases and rehabilitates distressed properties for resale, employing construction workers and contractors throughout the Sacramento area. While he’s had the ability to leave for a more tax-friendly state, Rich Von believes in the importance of improving the economy of his own state through increasing employment and improving neighborhoods.

At Von Vesting, Inc., Rich Von is able to work alongside his wife, Tiffani, and partner, Kale Flagg. It’s essential for someone who flips properties to know the area in which he or she lives, Rich Von feels, in order to better decide which homes to buy for the maximum profit. By remaining in California through the rough times, businesses will be able to enjoy the profitable times that are in the not-so-distant future.

Rich Von founded Von Vesting, Inc. in 2010, but he and his wife have worked full-time in property rehabilitation and resale since 2001. During this time, Rich Von and his wife have rehabilitated and resold more than 1,700 properties.
